1. Who we are

AI Eco Map (aiecomap.com, the "Site") is owned and operated by Carte Blanche Media LLC, an Arizona limited liability company based in Phoenix, Arizona ("Carte Blanche Media," "we," "us," or "our"). Carte Blanche Media LLC is the business responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

Listing submissions and claims: your name, contact email, the organization or event you are submitting, its website, and a business address. Business addresses are optional. Your name and email are never published.
City requests: the city you are voting for and, if you choose, your email so we can tell you when it goes live.
Messages to us: anything you include when you contact us.

Information collected automatically

Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring site, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
Cookies and similar technologies: small files and scripts that help the Site work, measure traffic, and support advertising. See Section 5.
Error and performance data: technical logs that help us find and fix problems. We configure these tools not to record form contents.

Information from public sources

Listings on the Site describe companies, spaces, accelerators, and events. We gather this from public websites and event platforms. Listings describe organizations, not private individuals. If a public listing includes information about you that you want removed, use the "Request removal" link on that listing or contact us.

3. How we use information

Run, maintain, and improve the Site and its listings.
Review, verify, and publish listing submissions and claims.
Respond to your messages and requests.
Measure Site traffic and understand which content is useful.
Show ads for AI Eco Map on other platforms and measure how those ads perform, where you have allowed advertising cookies.
Protect the Site against spam, fraud, and abuse.
Comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as follows:

Service providers who host and operate the Site, send email, and process forms on our behalf, including Wix.com (website hosting, forms, email, and analytics). They may use the information only to provide services to us.
Advertising partners, Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn, through the Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag, if you allow advertising cookies. Under some state laws, this may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising. You can opt out at any time (Section 6).
Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or Carte Blanche Media LLC.
Business transfers, if AI Eco Map or Carte Blanche Media LLC is involved in a merger, sale, or similar transaction.

5. Cookies, pixels, and tracking

We use these categories of cookies and similar technologies:

Essential: needed for the Site to work and for security. These are always on.
Analytics: help us count visits and see how the Site is used.
Advertising: the Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag. These let us build audiences of past visitors, show them AI Eco Map ads on Meta and LinkedIn, and measure results. These platforms may combine this data with information they already hold about you under their own privacy policies.

When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Advertising tags load only after you accept them. You can change your choice at any time through the "Cookie Settings" link in the Site footer.

You can also control ads through Meta Ad Preferences and LinkedIn Advertising Settings.

Global Privacy Control: we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a request to opt out of advertising cookies and the sale or sharing of personal information.

6. Your choices and rights

Everyone can:

Unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of that email.
Decline or withdraw consent for analytics and advertising cookies.
Ask us to remove a listing or correct information about you.

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other U.S. states with privacy laws, you may also have the right to:

Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
Correct inaccurate information.
Delete your personal information.
Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising.
Appeal our decision if we deny your request.

To make a request, email darrell@carteblanchemedia.us with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your request by confirming the email address on file, and respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

7. How long we keep information

Listing submissions and claims: deleted 90 days after we finish reviewing them. Published listing details stay on the Site until removed.
City requests: deleted once the city launches or after 12 months.
Messages to us: kept up to 24 months.
Cookie and analytics data: kept according to each provider's retention settings, generally no more than 26 months.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted account access, and trusted service providers. No system is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Site is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Users outside the United States

The Site is operated from the United States, and information is stored and processed in the United States. If you use the Site from another country, you understand your information will be handled under U.S. law.

11. Links to other sites

Listings link to outside websites and event pages, such as Meetup, Luma, and Eventbrite. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site changes. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date. If changes are significant, we will give notice on the Site or by email.
